The Big Disappointments debut studio album was released in 2007. eric boomhower on vocals and guitar, andy abrahamson on guitar, tall jon littlefield on bass & lisa mullen on drums. the album consists of fifteen songs recorded at kissypig studio in allston ma.
thalia zedek (come, live skull, uzi, and of course the current thalia zedek band) co-produced the album. the album was mixed by paul kolderie at camp street. paul has worked with Hole, Radiohead, the Pixies, and Dinosaur Jr. to name a few. alex hartman also assisted. it was mastered by nick zampiello at new alliance east.

F.Y.Y.F. is eric boomhower on guitar, jon littlefield on bass, colin asquith on guitar & kyle smith on drums. recorded on october 2nd 2005. all songs were improvised on the spot and recorded to 4 track at studio-eight in allston massachusetts. one song actually clocks in at 25 minutes! it is clear from this album that these four chaps were using mental telepathy to transmit the sounds and arrangements to each other's heads. fans of can, pink floyd, miles davis & king crimson will not be disappointed.

Mastablasta is a side project of colin asquith and eric boomhower. it began after the demise of their rock band The Arrangement. fusing delayed, programmed drum machines with drone psych electric guitars and keyboards was the idea. but, what came to be recorded was a world of music that neither was prepared for. unique and mysterious.

The Arrangement is eric boomhower on vocals and guitar, ilona virostek on guitar, keyboard, and vocals, colin asquith on bass, michael hutcherson on fender rhodes and organ & frank aveni on drums. 'recovery' is the band's first album and it begins with two studio tracks recorded by andy abrahamson. eric b. recorded the others at home. the result is an album of varied textures of experimentation. prophetic lyrics from eric and ilona mingle with beautifully crafted "arrangements". eric dahlman contributes trumpet on the track new blood for the new film.

The Arrangement take great leaps toward defining their sound on their second album entitled 'A'. the track breakfast takes a slow opening to frantic heights and back again. eric's lyrics bind all the songs together and the band plays with an urgency all its own. this is ilona's last album with the band. eric dahlman plays trumpet on the album's opening track and andy abrahamson recorded the album at studio-eight.

The Wrong Hole is darcey leonard on vocals, jessica rylan on bass, eric boomhower on guitar & dan boucher on drums. one day the four musicians met at eric's house to record some music. this was before dan boucher joined the avant noise band Neptune on drums and after jessica rylan had played bass in Neptune. so, obviously the rhythm section of The Wrong Hole rocks. this recording also has darcey leonard spewing forth some of the most stinging lyrical passages she has ever dared to sing. eric b. adds his familiar voodoo psych blues surf guitar to complete the sound.

Boom Maxwell is eric boomhower and rob maxwell. 'blues revue' was recorded one hot summer night in some lost year with 2 guitars plugged into a fender bassman amplifier. the album cover features a burned window of a now infamous house in newton, massachusetts. a house that was host to hundreds of eclectic recordings and performances. the house burned under mysterious circumstances and was later demolished.

Eric Boomhower uses his 4 track to record the album 'mad cow blues' sometime around 1998. he plays all the instruments himself. the songs have pop influences but his harmony hollow body and overall clean sound except for some distorted bass give the recording a melancholic vibe.

Eric Boomhower records 'psychedelic mirror' in the late 90's and he gets a little help from his friends. rob maxwell plays drums and sandy sjoberg plays bass on several tracks. ilona virostek sings backup and plays rhythm guitar on behind the sun while eric plays violin bow on guitar for the track. other tracks were recorded in hollywood, california and eric plays all the instruments.

Eric Boomhower again chooses to record on his 4 track to record the album 'whipping post' in 1999. joining him on many tracks is luna pagan on backing vocal and rhythm guitar. other tracks feature eric on acoustic guitar and vocal except the future is a dream which features ilona virostek on organ and eric on all other instruments including drum machine.

Eric Boomhower records the album 'killing time' in the year 2000. this recording nearly drove him mad due to his 4 track constantly breaking down. but the result was a fuzzed out fiery collection. eric plays all the instruments.

'Unangst 1' is the first recording from Unangst originally formed by eric boomhower and matt hunter (both former members of boston band The In Out). the tracks were recorded sometime in the mid-90's. the songs are "not for the faint of heart or the terminally ill" according to one reviewer. eric's guitar and vocals distort and feedback and matt's drums are the equal of ten drunken sailors. recorded on a 4 track this record became the source of much controversy and some of the songs inspired future boston rock band the big disappointments.
